Greetings, Shinobi.
We have spoken at length about our grand vision for the future of Shinobi Unleashed: the massive, 25×25 mile “Land of Shinobi”. Forging a continent of that scale—filled with the deep lore, missions, and hidden secrets you deserve—is a colossal undertaking that continues to be our ultimate goal.
However, the “Flow of Battle” Overhaul, with its new combo systems, fluid movement, and traversal mechanics, is a revolution in game feel that cannot wait. We need a place to test, refine, and perfect these new systems with you—a focused environment where we can iterate at a rapid pace.
Today, we are excited to give you a first glimpse of that environment. We are unveiling a new, bespoke island called “The Land of Devs.”
This new map is a small, dense, and beautiful Japanese village, crafted to be the perfect “dojo” for the next phase of development. It is a concentrated testing ground where you will be able to push the new combat and movement systems to their absolute limit.
Think of it as our development playground, and you will be the first ones invited to play.
“The Land of Devs” is not part of the main continental storyline. It is a dedicated beta playtest area that will allow us to gather your invaluable feedback on the new animations, the rope kunai’s physics, and the feel of the new combo system long before the final continent is complete.
This island is not yet live, but we are stocking it with every tool and challenge you’ll need. We are incredibly excited to share this first look with you and will be announcing details for the next playtest soon.
Stay sharp. The next evolution of combat is almost here.
